Indigenous plants and animals are few in Easter Island. At the time of European arrival, the toromiro tree was the only wild tree and the Carolina wolfberry the only wild shrub, the vegetation being...31...herbaceous. The toromiro tree was overexploited by island wood carvers, and the last local specimen  died in the 1950s. ...32...., the species was saved from extinction. The Norwegian Archaelogical Expedition  collected seeds and planted them in the Ghothenburg Botanical Garden, and saplings from the garden were reintroduced to EasterIsland in 1988. Today only 31 wild flowering plants, 14 ferns and 14 mosses are reported. Grass and small ferns dominate the barren lanscape,..33... the boggy crater  lakes are thickly covered by two imported American species, the totora red and Polygonum acuminatum. A number of cultivated species of plants were also introduced partly  from America and partly from Polynesia before the arrival of Europeans; of these the ...34...species was the sweet potato, which was cultivated inextensive plantations and formed staple diet. Bottle gourds, sugarcane, bananas, taro, yams, and two trees (i.e..the Asiatic paper mulberry and  the American Triumfetta semitriloba) were of aboriginal importation, as also probably were the husk-tomato, a small variety of pineapple, and the coconut.

Meteorites are among rarest materials that exist on earth-far less common than gold, diamonds, or even emeralds. Therefore, the chances of discovering a new example are slim-even for those who make their living hunting for and studying meteorites. A specimen that is thought to be a meteorite, but turns be a common earth rock is affectionately and humorously dubbed meteor-wrong. The surface of our plane is rich in terrestrial iron oxides such as magnetite and hematite ( many of which will stick to a magnet), dark black rocks such as basalt, and many different types of man-made metallic by products such as run off ( slag ) from old smelters and cast off iron implement. All of these materials are frequently mistaken for meteorites. Identification of genuine meteorite takes a practiced eye, but there are number of simple test that can help hopeful rock hounds determine if they have stumbled across a rare space rock, or just a common earthbound stone. Meteorites tend to look different from the ordinary terrestrial rock around them. They do not contain the common earth mineral quartz, and in general do not contain vesicle. When gas escapes from cooling molten material, it creates small pinprick holes in a rock's surface . The volcanic rock pumice, often used in skin care for the removal of callouses, contain vesicles which is one of the reasons it is very light in weight. If a suspected meteorite looks like sponge, with lost of tiny holes, it is probably volcanic rock or slag of earthly origin.

The concept of 3D printing may seem futuristic to most of us who use printers solely for flat-surfaced worded documents. However, the technology behind it is not particularly new. Additive manufacturing, the technology thats enables the building of 3D objects by adding layer-upon-layer of material, has its roots in inventor Francois Willeme's 19th century photos culpture method. In method of additive manufacturing called stereolithography. The technology sped up the printing process and allowed user to choose designs they wanted to print. Since then, stereolithography ...42...and formed the foundation of 3D printing technology that has emerged as one of the most quickly expanding technologies around.

One of the most promosing applications of 3D printing today is bioprinting, the printing of 3D items in field of medicine .
